Hi-Tech Pharmacal Launches New Marketing Initiative on Nasal Ease After Favorable Settlement of Quigley Lawsuit

AMITYVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 22, 1999--The lawsuit brought by The Quigley Corporation against Hi-Tech Pharmacal Co. Inc. (NASDAQ: HITK) charging infringement on their Cold-Eeze mark has now been dismissed with prejudice. Hi-Tech will have the right to continue to market and sell its Nasal-Ease products without any interference from Quigley.

Commenting on this David Seltzer, president and CEO stated, "I am pleased with the result in this lawsuit and that we will be able to continue to sell this unique new product." Nasal Ease is the first nasal moisturizer that incorporates zinc.

Seltzer further stated, "We are certain that this product will start to have the market presence we originally anticipated, before the Quigley lawsuit. It will begin to be introduced in some of the country's largest retail outlets later this year."
