Hi Richard.....

I've spent some time with the CCI(13) crossing up through -150 to buy and crossing below 200 to sell. One observation that I can make is that it seems the best trades come when CCI diverges with price. An example of it is with ELNT and the CCI crossing in July, September and October. All three times the CCI made a higher low under -150 while price made a lower low at each point. It's seen on the weekly chart also with the same 13 day CCI. I know you don't pay attention to divergences at all but have you ever studied them with CCI?

Another good example is on the EMC chart in September and October of 98.

When you tested CCI(13) yourself did you test just the indicator by itself on select charts or did you test across a variety of characteristically different charts?

Thanks,
Mike
