What you say about children needing attention is very true; however, nowhere is it written that only the mother is responsible to give that attention. A loving father's attention is just as important as the mother's.

I blame the violence that passes for entertainment in Hollywood films and on T.V. every night. No amount of watching murder & mayhem will turn an emotionally healthy youngster into a killer. However, those on the edge -- the emotionally disturbed children -- can go over the edge when saturated with scenes of senseless, useless violence.
