Very interesting post on Yahoo.

RUMORS from Mountains:
by: REGGIEE44 724 of 724Late pm, interesting words from the mile-high
Louisville; STK making two MAJOR moves, 1) Selling off Berg product line
to IBM for $780Mil (1.3 x premium over the $600mil. received in '98 Berg
revenues). IBM's Shark not ready-for-prime-time in MVS/Unix EMC wars,
STK realizes they can NOT sell needed Volume to sustain Berg. IBM Wins -
STK Wins!! The second move is the cream, EMC buys STK and its tape
products for $45/share (3 x annual tape revenue of $1.5Mil. - CHEAP!!)
Clarion goes home once and for all. EMC finally gets their hands on
premium MVS/Unix tape line and install base, with minimal dilution, and
instant bottom line margins at 45+%. EMC Wins - STK Wins!! It seams too
logical and simple but the bottom line is STK's looking seriously at
immediate shareholder value. No Anti-Trust - No Mess. Make it happen
Dave, or you WILL be packing those favorate pictures.
