Why did the AMD CEO sell all of his holdings just a few weeks ago? Why can't Cyrix achieve the clock speeds of the Pentium and why can't they support what is arguably the most critical capability of today's microprocessors, to wit, symmetric multiprocessor systems?

Do you have the foggiest idea how big of an impact Intel's chips are having on motherboard design and just how dominant those sytems are becoming? For some reason you have bought into the idea that after falling behind several years, on a design that was given to them on a silver platter in the firts place, that these so-called competitors now threaten a company on the verge releasing the next generation products.

Folks, it's not just that Intel will have the cheapest, fastest and most accepted line of processors in the business, they will bring high-end graphics to the home and desktop with systems that work together onboard their state-of-the-art motherboards. Frankly, you don't have even a remote clue as to what you are talking about, RayW.
