Howdy Pals...So, looks like I won't be bothering with getting cable so soon after all. Just like with the stocks, remembering why one bought it before selling it...This Is Why I don't have TV or radio on while working but instead listen to the weather outside, the birds, or my favorite music. Who needs it?! Investors takes on stuff like this are what's more important for the stocks movement anyway than The Thing Itself. If Dick Dale does a surfboard sacrifice at Techstock'99 LIVE tonight it'll be without me there...picked up a stomach bug somewhere so staying home instead. Will catch Dick's show next weekend in NYC Soho; probably would have gone to two of his shows anyway. And then yuk on top of the No Dick Dale Tonite/Tea and Tums Instead yuk, reading about that CNBC guy's botheration of Russell today and the fall in the share price in the wake of the fine Go2net.com Company's great recent news 909ed the virus bummer. That crack relayed about PAllen thinking GNET's only worth 90 so how come it's so much higher - that's not an intelligent businessworthy properly researched third degree, it's more like a tabloid in attack mode star-bashing...gets my knickers all in a knot. Shareholders know PAllens offer of 90 has nothing to do with it only being worth 90 and it would have been more truly informative if those factors had been displayed instead of the DUH of what was said! But take comfort in this, pals...It's Only The 15 Minutes Of Fame....and GE's CNBC and GNET (holding shares in both) will be around for longer than this incident of today or one sniping individual will be remembered. Glad right now I don't have cable business news to get me all upset, even though without it am missing such warnings to take advantage of quacks...but for every missed opportunity because of the lack there's another time or more that such commentary would have steered me wrong. (Trying to limit input to head off overstimulation burnout and already got The Internet). It's Bound To Be The Very Next Phase - CNBC, Bloomberg, and the rest will probably soon show dotcoms a humble tv square on the desktop, streaming the show to the netwatchers whether accessed by cable or phone modem anyway; the technology's starting to appear here and there so You Know What That Means Around The Hopping Internet...hope when that time comes can
still manage to avoid it except for maybe once in awhile.
909 Pals,
Joan
