"(and in spite of what Bob Brinker says, split is good news)" -- Nandu say so? It must be so. Nandu know best. I think Bob thinks it's funny that people run around wearing beepers to be beeped when a certain co. announces a split. They really don't change any of the fundamentals of a co. but then the market has kind of forgotten about fundamentals anyway.
