Actually, I was trying to see if there
were any B5 fans on the thread. It has
been a long time since I read the Tolkien
books, but it has been said that there
are many similarities between that story
and elements in Babylon5.

If a person got past the uneven acting
and occasional stinker episodes, the JMS
story-arc presented in B5 was really very
good. Some of the lines delivered by the
fellow who played The First One were
really very dramatic and moving.

So, I guess you could say that is a good
legend. That there were beings that came
before us. They did a little of that in
ST-TNG, but it wasn't executed very well--
message in all the humanoids DNA, really
a great premise, but individual shows, don't
set up the gravity of an idea.
