I just got home. A few remarks......

Seems to me that the posting action here in general is being made by a handful of relative newbies who probably have not been around this stock for more than one quarter.

They bought in sub 4 with the idea that since the short interest is high and Viagra is on the ropes (safety wise) that Leland would deliver them a partner and that their initial investment would triple or quadruple. When the goods weren't delivered they sold out(made a lot less money than they expected) and now have a lot of pessimism to share with us. IMO they now should move on to their next speculation and quit sharing their great wisdom.

I have no control over the short term stock price and was not at all surprised at the way Vivus dropped like a rock in the morning (down to 4 1/8 on only 200k shares).

IMO the short interest is still way too high for the shorts not to continue shorting on strength and thus the manipulation goes on. I still think that they do not have a lot of time to cover based on some of the news I expect to hear over the course of this quarter. A lot of good stuff on the patent and R&D front. I am also looking forward to the FDA annual report on Viagra. I may call the FDA tomorrow to find out exactly when it will be issued.
