The Euro will rise when the European Central banks out pump us. This seems contrary to the way it used to work. The world monetary regime is different now, perhaps inverse, and will need a lot of beggar-thy-neighbor money creation before the good old days can get back in gear. Initially they will discover that pumping improves economy without inflationary side effects. Then they will depend on it to keep the good times rolling. Hey, a little money never hurt anyone.

The Euro can't be hitched to a star. Once all the sovereign nations of Europe are pumping, the disparities in these economies will re-assert themselves. The Euro will bust apart.

Nations are individuals. They can't be socialistically combined without their complete destruction. It just takes a lot of money to remember that they never liked each other. It is in their interest to remain individuals and get rid of this return to degenerate 20th century mentality.
