No, I don't. I think they need to prepare in stages. They need to get their infrastucture in place first. That means websites and telephones that people can actually use to place orders. Then they need to get their inventory software to integrate with their suppliers. It means doing things like pushing inventory upstream, integrating production with demand, and a whole bunch of logistical issues need to be addressed. But once accomplished the company can then jettison the channel. There will be pain for a few quarters, but the increase in manufacturing efficiency should be tremendous, and the cash generating ability of the company should be immense.
