I find it curious when individuals claim that Solaris is propietary compared to NT. NT was developed as a commercial product which Microsoft uses to squeeze its competitors to death unfairly and the courts and the public know it. while Solaris is based on free Unix code from the University of Berkeley - the original open source! I can run a Linux Application today on Solaris running on a Intel machine. Tried running an OS/2 application on NT lately? Why dont you call Microsoft and ask for the source code? looks like your falling for Microsofts definition of Proprietary as something which doesnt come from Microsoft.
