Thanks for the feedback. I had another talk this evening with my friend and I am starting to understand some of the differences. My guess is that FPGAs probably use traditional CMOS technologies, while it appears that Rambus does not (the Rambus voltages don't swing all the way to ground and Vdd but rather in a limited range around the reference voltage). Is this an accurate statement?
