From your own words, it appears that you haven't the slightest clue re what specifically caused the anomaly that you think you see.

Yet, you choose to characterize it as "... why management would want to play transparent games.

Seems to be a rather hasty and unfounded conclusion from my perspective.

But as I said before, you can do whatever you wish.

And that includes posting completely unfounded conclusions without any facts but rather an incomplete understanding of accounting practices, balance sheets or details.

If what you think you see is so important to you, why not just call IR and ask for an explanation?

The more you dwell on this bit of trivia, the more it seems that you have other motives than looking out for the interests of ATML investors.
