Agreed. This is an amazing thread to read, and a real-time example of group psychology. "Facts" are being misconstrued to advance every political agenda from banning automatic-weapons and trench coats to abortion. Such logic defies common sense.

Again, etiology traces directly to the lack of responsibility and blaming everything and everybody for your (editorial sense) own behavior. Welcome to the Jerry Springer Show and the, "if it feels good do it" culture.
