At first glance, I think Intel's entry into the market sounds bad.

But on further thought, I don't see where they have any significant competitive advantage. They are a manufacturer, and a good one. I'm not aware of any large scale service business that they have. Also, many web servers run UNIX, and they certainly don't have any advantage there.

The only advantage I can think of is that they can get the processors cheaper. My guess is that the PCs are a small percentage of the cost of opening and running a data center.

I'm not selling.
