Does it make sense to do momentum investing with a small part of portfolio? I haven't done it, but it is tempting to do it in the same way I would go to a casino. Decide in advance how much I would risk. Keep the amount at risk at or below the predetermined amount. (If I lose, don't add any new money. If I win, periodically remove the winnings from the amount invested so that the amount at risk keeps returning to the predetermined level.) I would have to follow these rules without exception, and not get caught up in the emotion of the chase. Has anyone successfully done this type thing?
