Since you are new here you just don't get it.

BTW I am told that the NYSE approached Vivus and not Vivus approaching them(I was told specifically because word on the Street is that Vivus has been the victim of market manipulation by the NASDAQ market makers).

Remember that as far as NASD trading rules go that a market maker can short stock that he doesn't own or didn't borrow so long as the money is in their account. This rule basically allows the market makers to throw their money in whatever direction they want to move the stock.

IMHO there has also been collusion among a handful of these market makers to break this stock.

Regardless of all of this, these manipulators can not change the facts regarding Vivus' company fundamentals as of today. I still believe it will all come out in the wash in the end.
