Thank you, Reginald

Your approach to analysis is very sound. But, you don't seem to build some back ground to lead to your conclusions.

IE., when we discuss tech stocks, we should look at the technology direction these companies take. Microsoft has not touched on automation beyond wizards right now. Wizards can be used to automate writing letters etc. It is a possible foundation for automation. Corel or Lotus can blow Microsoft away. Automation in software, today, means " the software ask you what your goal is". You write your vision of the desired results; and the software will write the program to get you the results. In object technology, "Select" has such a program last year, using different generators to data mine for you to get the results you want. $2700 a seat to include all the foremost generators.

Anyway, then we have to look at the marketing and organization to penetrate the future market. Cash flow and earnings, they are for mature businesses. 3 com and cisco can get blown away on their Nics, by talking about Intel going for gigabit ethernet cards. On the other hand, Intel wanted Rambus dram but ended by investing in Samsung SDRAM II. Fortunes are made or lost in a moments' notice.

Professional analysis has to have a systematic approach. I am all for your bringing it up in this thread.
