I still think they can torpedo the AT&T deal with some concessions from Comcast on set top boxes or other issues related to control.

As several posters have pointed out over on the ATHM thread, the possibilities are so complex, it's difficult to predict what will happen when this consolidation is complete, but I suspect that MSFT will come out ahead in it. I suppose they could fork over several billion to help CMCSK outbid T for UMG, but I think that's unlikely.

More likely is a switch by Comcast to MSFT-partner RoadRunner. RR would then get more customers and in bigger markets.
