I'd stick with Intel (IMO)

Some people rave about the AMD K62 chips and they do carry a lower cost, but my biggest problem with the AMD CPU's is the chipset problem. We've seen some compability issues, and stability issues with a lot of non-Intel chipsets (VIA, Apollo, SiS).

Doesn't mean they haven't ironed the bugs out, but I'll stick with what I know works for now.

When it comes to Cyrix chips...ugh. That's all I have to say.
