I still say that TXN and/or INTC shorted a shipload of MU back in the 60's or created some kind of equivalent short with options. Nothing in an agreement would prevent them from shorting or buying options on their own; they just can't try to use the not-quite-owned Micron stock as collateral.

Back in March we saw overwhelming open interest on 60 puts *and* calls for the entire period, which is unusual even for Micron. Somebody staked a position early and held it all the way through expiration.
