I imagine Alan was also excited to Hear. quotes.freerealtime.com Siemens was an early pioneer in DSL, as was Texas Instruments. Texas Instruments bought Amati Communications Corp in Dec of '97. I owned a large stake in Amati. They are the real Pioneers of DSL, in fact Amati now a wholly owned subsidiary of TI, developed the Line Code (DMT) that is the Standard for ADSL. There were Two Line Codes DMT and CAP, back in the early days, I knew DMT would be the winner and spent 3 years try to prove why it would win. Had 100's of debates on the WAR. I finally authored a couple of papers on the subject. BTW - DMT won!
