X, re:AT&T-remember when they bought TCI? the market's reaction was very negative initially. TCI and UMG are strategic acquisitions the value of which will be unlocked over the longer term. whether the prices paid were really too high will be known sometime in the future. i for one like T's strategy, it seems to make sense. regards, hb
