I cant tell if that is sarcasm lol.. if it is not, the answer is that most canadians have access to the internet through the same means as Americans. Most Rural communities have access through their major local telephone provider.

Most canadians live close to, or near larger centers, that often have independent ISPs as well. I grew up in a small town of 3500. They have net access through the telco TELUS. My parents live in a town of 45000, they have access through TELUS and a host of other providers (including AT&T). I live in a city of 1 mil, and have tens of choices. Of the three centers, i am the only on that can choose @HOME, and i do.

Regards
Jay
