I am not saying that CPQ is some excellent stock. They are, however, a very large and profitable company that is one of the big names in the industry. All the anger in the world is not going to take that away from them, even if they blew this quarter to high hell. Compaq is still a very beaten down stock at this point. It never ceases to amaze me how, no matter how much a stock is beaten down, people will always call for it to go that much lower as the shorts come out of the woodwork. If CPQ were trading the last few days in the 27-28 range people would be calling for 21 or 20. since it is trading in the 22-24 range people are calling for 15-17. Why don't we just try and say they are going to 5. Come on people get real. CPQ is a leader who has stumbled. She will come roaring back. It reminds me of ASND when she fell from 80 to 22. Now look at ASND. When CPQ gets their act together it will come back stronger than before. Oh yeah, and for those of you who are waiting for the short list of possible CEO's before you buy or cover...go ahead..you will be buying at 30 instead of 22-23. Chow for now.
