asia is a very diverse cultural and technology-developed area
aol can go coast to coast in the u.s. and install the same software and have the same customer support (english)

asia has dozens of languages and pc penetration is mixed depending on which nation...

china for example as more than 1 billion people but perhaps only 2 million with internet access (mostly through work or schools)

japan has higher penetration but the market is much smaller
singapore, thailand, hong kong, korea, etc and you begin to see the challenges pacnet has

to its benefit is the deep pocket parent company that should be able to make the deals happen for pan-asia

that process i suspect may take time and several months/years
