"What are the consequences for CUBE regarding this apparent new bid for MediaOne from AT&T?" Here's one possible scenario. Perhaps AT&T evaluated the end to end solution they ended up with with the TCI purchase, didn't like what they saw and have decided use MediaOnes Divicom based solutions. After all the GI solution uses DiviCom in the headend anyway and the DCT-5000 box is still being designed... Wishful thinking? Perhaps, but so is an INTC buyout.
