Strange. The retail boxes from Intel should read just fine.

On my new box, I have that AOpen full tower, I took four panasonic slim-line fans and placed 2 at the back blowing inwards, 1 at the bottom of the case blowing across the pci cards, 1 hanging from a 5 1/4 bay and blowing across the cpu. The 2 at the back are blowing accross a Cheetah 10,000 RPM. I sliced the power cables and hooked them all up to the the floppy connector since they take almost no power.

Although they don't report RPM speed, these fans are fast! You can stick your hand out about 4 feet away and still feel the air flow. A friend nicked one while it was on, and it sliced his finger up pretty good.

On another note, I reversed the power supply fan, so there's the 3 fans that are at the back of the case are blowing in the case. By placing some nylon on the outside, it prevents any dust from getting inside. If you leave them blowing outwards, you get the air flow being brought in the case from the floppy and cd-rom drives. Now the case is extremely cool and the air flow is going OUT of the drives. No dust problems, no heat problems :)
