Obviously, the investment in R&D doesn't particularly bother me - I've been in VVUS for some time now. What bothered me more than anything in the CC was the statement that they were increasing spending on Sales & Marketing - that coupled with a total absence of any further discussion of a marketing partner, etc. would seem to imply that they are planning on going it alone (again). I don't think they can afford another misstep in this regard - this time it WILL be fatal.

Your statements seem to indicate that a partner is still very much on the front burner. I think this is an area which should be of paramount concern to all of us.

Also, you should have asked them if they have considered not having any further conference calls. They always seem to hurt more than help.
