Increasing consumer awareness for wearables. I like it. I have recently looked at Dell's new notebooks and noticed their top line units have brilliant 15" diagonal LCD screens. I see Desktop PC formfactors disappearing in the next 10 years, being replaced by motherboard guts and peripherals being stuffed vertically behind an LCD screen in a new type of economical and space-efficient desktop package. It's my newest opinion that in ten years LCDs will replace CRT monitors almost universally. Wearables will be filling a new portability niche as copper technology speeds them to over 1GHz in the year 2001. Microdrives and LiPoly batteries will continue to shrink them (2001). Instant-on operating systems will eliminate power-up delays (2003). Cellular internet connectivity will become cheaper and more efficient (2005, all JMO). This is cool technology to dream about. Xybernaut definitely has a ring-side seat. I guess we just have to wait out these frustrating times and have fun when it comes. I'm only disappointed because I know these lean times should be as fun as it gets. Shoe.
