Aloha from the big island of hawaii. Finally got time to check this thread, after stevens invitation. I don't do alot of rugged outdoor stuff anymore but I live real close to kealekekua bay and we try to get down there several times a week for swimming, snorkeling or kayaking. There are great numbers of tourists that come to rent kayaks to go out and see the dolphins that can usually be seen and also for snorkling near where Captian Cook met his death. It is a really beautiful spot and we still go there often , although we usually go to spots less frequented. We just sort of cruise. It is interesting to see what others are doing in other places. best wishes, n1
