Interesting article (by Marcy Burstiner)
But it feels like just negative spin to me.

My reading of the discussion here
is that, even if Camino accommodates
interim alternative, RDRAM wins
in the end on a performance basis.

(Speaking of performance,
can one of the hardware gurus comment
of theoretical performance limits
for Rambus RAM? What happens
when the clock rates go from 400MHz
on up to, say, double that?
How far can bandwidth performance be stretched
in the technology, as it stands?)

This interim accommodation by Intel
does not seem to constitute "inching away," IMO.

Not too disturbed by the spin-doctors,
nor several months delay.

Trying to take unclewest's "long view".
