Dear Anthony, Unfortunately it makes sense that you'd be having trouble with the American Embassy, or any government officials, because teh system wwe live in has produced this problem and cannot fix it. Therefore, a more effective way is to directly utilize your $, skills (and ours) and your wherewithal and presence there, and rather try to get them into America which may be a losing cause, quietly go to low-cost European haven like Hungary (especially since Europe's borders are open), contact local aid organiations, ply them with American $, ask them for names of personal contacts of people in the country who...might...bend the rules a bit...and hunt down some places for these kids to live. Then, put the kids in a truck and take them there. I know someone who was in a similar position once. This works.
