Anthony -- The check and the emails have been sent, and I'll be asking friends and family to help out as well...

I've discussed it with my wife, and we'd like to go a step further. In the spirit of Aloha, we'd like to offer our home to a couple of refugees during this crisis if you can get them out of there and need additional housing. As a Vietnam refugee, my wife has been through a somewhat similar situation and has helped her siblings recover from their horrible experience. The kindness of strangers helped them through their ordeal and made a world of difference.

With room for our son in our bedroom and our daughter in the second, our third bedroom can be made available as needed, and we also have common space that can be converted. What little we have to offer I'm sure is much better than what they have now. I'm not sure if the distance to Hawaii is a problem, but we'd be happy to help if we can.

We'd like to let everyone over there know that even those on the opposite end of the world care and would like to help them out. When you overcome the current obstacles you're encountering, please let us know how we can take the next step.
