I think it depends on the application. Not all future devices will require an RTOS as opposed to a normal OS. If you take the article at face value then they will support VxWorks when an RTOS is required. I do not see any other RTOS mentioned, however the list that was published in the article may not have been complete.

Note: VxWorks is already ported to ARM architectures e.g SA-110 and SA-1100.
