re: McGinn and Fiorina come across as incredibly bright, focused, and driven individuals who have a very good grasp of the challenges that lie ahead for LU.
Generally agreed. But on the Fiorina point, while intense, smart, I view her through admittedly somewhat unrosy glasses of having been cast off into the Lucent-Philips cellphone joint venture, which came out of Lucent's former Consumer Products unit, and then later terminated when the venture couldn't make it.
Not such a happy experience when you are on the receiving end of hard business decisions, even though it was, from a business perspective, the correct one.
Didn't someone say that there was a reputation for being a hatchet-woman?
Ahhh, that felt good [controlled venting].
That being said, I STILL LOVE LUCENT.
