There could be light at the end of this tunnel. A news letter was released 4/22/99 as follows

PROVO, Utah, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- In his November 9, 1998 letter to shareholders Galtech's President, William F. Pratt, described his efforts to reorganize and revitalize Galtech Semiconductor Materials, Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: GTSM). In the past five months this work has continued with progress in several important areas.

Galtech continues its high priority work to refine its manufacturing process. In so doing, the company has moved into a brand new building in the Provo, Utah area. This new site offers a number of important advantages. Among these advantages are access to a high quality, highly reliable electrical power supply essential in the growth of semiconductor materials; availability of a highly trained workforce required to successfully develop this business; and immediate access to the necessary support services which will be required to manage operations.

Galtech Semiconductor Materials Corporation (Galtech) is an innovative research-and-development company with its beginnings in the development and the manufacturing of high quality, specialty, compound semiconductor materials.

Galtech was reorganized in 1998 to manufacture compound semiconductor materials and is based in cadmium telluride (CdTe) process and product development. Crystalline material made from this compound is capable of converting solar or other sources of radiant energy to electrical current. Such materials are widely used in solar-cell arrays, lasers, infrared detectors and other devices.

In addition, in a significant personal and scientific achievement Mr. Pratt has completed, and will be awarded his Ph.D. in late April from the Brigham Young University School of Engineering.

This press release includes forward-looking statements that involve risks and uncertainties. It is not a solicitation to purchase or sell securities of Galtech Semiconductor Materials Corporation.
