Phil,
I called the company handling Mercury's investor relations. The guy I spoke to was surprised that I was able to buy the old shares last week. He told me that Wednesday night was the cut-off for being able to buy the old shares. Well, looks like the old shares were still trading today, weren't they? I was able to get rid of my shares on Thursday morning, but my broker had to doublecheck that they could still sell them, since they were showing a 'reorg'. They said they could 'over-ride' it. Not clear on why they don't seem to be following their 'cut-off' date. If I had held my shares, I would have received 1 new share for every 341 old shares, just like you said.
