Global Business Information Directory Acquires Intial Database for Its New
Business Search Engine
SEATTLE (April 21) BUSINESS WIRE -April 21, 1999--Global Business
Information Directory, Inc. ("Global")(OTC BB:GBDI) today announced
that it has acquired the first business database for its new business
Internet search engine "Quest".
The new database covers the North American continent, including both
the United States and Canada. The database houses over 18 million
registered companies. Global, which launched its demonstration site
last month, expects to be in a position to announce full live access to
its database shortly. Global's website can be accessed, free of charge,
through www.gbid.com.
The North American data is compiled from over 4500 US and Canadian
telephone directories. The basic business information offered will be
continually enhanced as Global adds individual company web sites to the
database. Companies not included in the database may add their names
directly through the Global web site.
