I forgot about that. That means that the maturing 0.18 micron process will reduce costs for Intel even more. That means Intel will have more room to drive the price down if AMD takes the performance lead. AMD will need a mature 0.18 micron process of their own to match the price cuts, but that gives Intel even more breathing room until Willamette.

There's no doubt in my mind that Intel may just have to weather the storm for a little while. The question is, will it be a storm or just a drizzle?
