I agree with your statement below. I am just starting to do dd on this company and I already don't like what I see. There appears to be way too much hype in their press releases to begin with. A company should not have to release PR that they are purchasing adds on Bloomberg for instance. That is very cheezy. As is, including their supposed competitors names in each and every one of their pr releases. (That is also against SEC regulations) and sooner or later there will be a problem there. Means they either have bad legal advice or bad PR. I have yet to see a definative description of what they do from their press releases. It just appears to be a lot of hype to me so far. My guessing is that they are trying to compete in Soft and hardware manufacure with VOCLF. Who has been attempting to seel their equipment to corporations for years. The problem folks is, without a network there is no quality. You are at the mercy of packet switching over isp's that are not interoperable and far too busy.
When I look at IPVC's own press releases and see statements like this: I cringe, because none of them are true. When I see the company talk about how there are other larger more established companies doing the same thing, but they have inferior billing systems, I cringe. Statements like these are easily seen through and can become fodder for legal action at a later dat if proven unfounded.
<1. No competitor equals the IPVoice combined IP Telephony solution and mature, real-time billing system for ease of use, affordability and quality. All competing IP Telephony solutions in the marketplace today have immature billing systems. 2. No other telecommunications group can provide the same level of real-time remote access and manageability of information. 3. No other group can offer the same level of customer and agent access. The resulting sales momentum from empowering the remote agents will create a self-driving sales force unparalleled in the industry. 4. No other group is in a position to rapidly deploy and install Internet telecommunications services into new marketplaces. With IPVoice's industry-unique combination of IP Telephony technology, Internet remote-access technology, and a comprehensive order-entry and invoicing system, IPVoice can instantly address and secure new marketplaces and opportunities.>
IMO companies that are this fast and loose with facts and information, often later prove to lack substance. Because if they really had a superior product and vision. It would be recognized by the Jeff Pulvers of the internet telephony world and they would not need to establish credibility in this manner.
The quality issue is one that I don't see them getting around. I don't know if anyone here has tried an internet call over a non priority network. But, if you have, you will realize that the priority network is the only way to go at this time and there are only two companies that have this in place. Most of the other carriers, even AT&T route their calls over these networks for that reason.
I also have not been favorably impressed with all the spamming that has gone on everywhere about this company.
Having said all of this. I invite any knowledgable long to please enlighten me on where I may be off base. My purpose is not to ttrash this company. But, rather to gather facts that could lead to a favorable opinion. If I am missing something, I am open to it and will gladly readjust my thinking as necessary.
<I hope in the forthcoming publicity campaign there will be comparative cost as well as performance and reliability issues addressed.Just to indicate you are "cheaper" is not sufficient. > |
