And...? That is, to what end, and for what reason, does this come my way, please? I have plenty to read -- and plenty to say, having read plenty -- about the Balkan war. Without some preliminary, compelling indication of what's vital in this particular account, I will give this story a pass, JBL. Perhaps you are posting it to the thread-at-large, but, even then, so many undigested lumps receive a CTRL+V regurgitation on SI that "Next" becomes the only reasonable response. With all due respect, JBL, the question remains: why should I give a rat's ass what Fiske is on about?
