You are a prime reason why I might have to exit this site as I have said before. You are all about negativity.
Au contraire!!! I am not the one who is constantly whining about the falling price of gold and claiming manipulations of titanic proportions.
First, you are right, I am a nobody. That is true. Second, Shaka won. We will too. Third, he was deranged. I took this plan, not his embodiment as a person.
Bill, you can't make an analogy that your struggle is similar to that of Shaka Zulu and then claim you are a nobody. It has to be one or the other and you're the one who was making the comparison, not anyone else. So the false humility you suddenly show becomes suspect as well.
The basic problem I have is that you compared yourself with Shaka before doing even some basic research to see if the analogy would hold water. Even a quick websearch would have netted you something like this:
npcts.edu
Short. Sweet.. and a nice summation of how Shaka was used by the Europeans to finish the destruction of his rival clansmen, leaving only his internally weakened tribe to be divided, corrupted, and conquered by the Euros.
The analogy holds in that those who you would be supporting the most.. ie: the gold producers, will continue to undercut your efforts because they see the handwriting on the wall economically.
The reality is that we continue to be heading towards greater deflation, IMO. Even with rumours of recovery in Asia, the odds are that capital will flee from emerging markets to the US as we draw closer to Jan 1st, 2000.
And this economic disruption, should it manifest itself, will create an evironment where prices will continue to fall as demand for anything but the bare essentials will decline. Credit requirements will tighten for any company but the largest who fail to show Y2K readiness. And the industrial demand for gold will decline even more. Personal demand may rise, but then again, the CB's can always meet that demand by selling from their 14 years worth of supply.
So if you were able to achieve any increase in the POG through your efforts, gold producers (especially those in high cost operations) would be selling forward into this price increase, blessing the foolish masses for allowing them to distribute their "assets" well into the future at a decent price.
So Bill, unless you're going to fight the battle properly, either forcing the sale of ALL CB held gold, or demanding a return to the gold standard (and the economic turmoil that would cause), I don't see any reason to expend my energies fighting a losing battle.
Think about it. If you are able to achieve a restraint of gold leasing by CBs, you will increase their incentive to sell that gold into the market to realize some form of value.
