You are right. When AMZN tanks - which it does from time to time as Net stock's nature warrants - I usually don't show up and be a hero trying to stop the slide. I simply can't. Nobody can. I ALWAYS FOLLOW the flow, not against it. What I do at those times are - you guessed, waiting on the sideline. As soon as I see the bottom is reached, and the next upturn is imminent, I jump back in. As I do that, I let you guys know (see my note last Tuesday when I bot 500sh AMZN at $158). If somehow I feel that a breakout is in the formation, I not only buy more shares, but also shout and pound the table and ask everyone on this board to buy. I did it last Nov. when AMZN breaking out old pre-split $150 resistance; I did it one month ago when AMZN broke $140; and I did it in the past couple days when I saw AMZN breaking $200. I will continue to do so in the future. If you like my gut feeling, do the same as I do and potentially make some money. If you don't like it, simply ignore it.

One more note, as a long term AMZN believer, even though I see a correction coming - and believe me I do see it from time to time, I usually don't put out my negative feeling to scare people here. Because I know ALL the corrections is short term in nature. As long as you wait a little, it will come back soon. These corrections don't warrant selling of the core positions, rather serve as excellent opportunities to buy more trading positions.

Good luck!
