Just Read Gilder's Life After Television...

Highly recommend it (not that my recommendation matters). Excellent read. The chapter about Wave Systems holds few surprises, but that's not the point. (For the most duly diligent when it comes to DD, there are probably no surprises here... with the possible exception of whom PS has engaged for help at various points.) It's a great primer on the thought process that created Wave Systems and why that thought process is so timely now--after being ahead of its time for several years. Reading the Wave Systems bit in the context of the rest of the book, you get even more excited (if that's possible) about "our" prospects.

The other joy of the book is Gilder's use of language. I have long believed that there is a "predictive" aspect to language and its mastery. Gilder is the very opposite of the tongue-tied Cassandra.
Rich sentences embedded with wordplays and what William James once called "the sense of sound."

Order the book. You'll like it. And, thanks, George, for the tip...

Best Regards,
