Did everyone hold through October, or was that the grand poobah of dip buying opportunities?

In all reality, I do believe we have entered into a new era for the stock market. It is one where small time nickle and dimers can plunk down 2k for a marginable account, then en masse bid up worthless stocks. This is here to stay for quite some time. Everytime there is a dip, there will be 400k other schwab accounts to throw their bodies at the enemy army. When there is no dip, they build a wobbly human chain up to the top. Eventually at the top, it starts to shake and get unstable, and the people on the top half fall down to the ground.

Does anyone think that there is a relationship between expanded credit debt of the consumer and willingness to gamble on the stockmarkets? I am sure that someone will do a study on this..."The more you're screwed, the more you bet."

I wonder how many state lottery players have given up Lotto and Powerball to plunk down their hard earned buckaroos on internet stocks?

I have a feeling that since October, we have entered into another new stock market even past the internets...one where the tops are more manic and the downsides just as manic as the tops. A stock market that will cycle every 3-4 months instead of every year or so. All predacated on huge swings from little tiny accounts with little tiny dollar amounts. Kind of the way bees attack an ant when it wanders into their hive.

Do I grant too much power to the little trader guy? Probably. Am I wrong? Who knows, anyone got a better idea?
