What does that mean? Does it mean that RR will continue to operate over T's new cable plant? Or does it mean that ATHM will coexist with RR? Or something else, in your opinion?

Pure guess: T trades or sells or gives UMG's RR interest to Comcast in exchange for its ATHM stake. The two companies switch their networks to the other provider. Although it would be expensive, it would seem to be the kind of tradeoff that would satisfy regulators concerned about the massive concentration of cable-data market share that a merged ATHM + RoadRunner would create.

(It would also give Comcast's Robinson family more of the control they seem to crave and put Microsoft's two major cable-data investments into the same camp.)
