Jon, you are back testing a lagging TA indicator in a bull market. Nothing wrong with that in particular, but be aware of it. Also, many fund managers watch the 50 and 200 day MAs, it's kinda the "old boy" of simple filters. Simple filters are generally good while they work, and this one should be good for a while. If you decide to jump ahead of the signal, (buy before the cross) it would be wise to have your exit strategy well thought out. Good luck! TLC
