Interesting point. (by the way I loved the List: I'd wear the T-shirt with "The Lost" on it). I guess I agree with you. I struggled for years trying to understand why balance sheets valued assets at cost and ignored unrealized gains and losses. Personally, I update the value of my assets to market on my Quicken program every so often. It gives me a better perspective on what to do with my house, business, etc. -- but sometimes the stuff is difficult to value.

I'm genuinely stuck on this one. I can't really trade on Monday anyway because my account is in mid-transfer to a new brokerage firm, but I am not ready to anyway. There just HAS to be something to moving this thing to Delaware. That HAS to be to protect the company from hostile takeover, (IBM has been suggested here). What I would like to know is, how does that poison pill stuff work? Will they dilute our shares? or, will they issue new shares as treasury stock to be voted by the Board? That seems okay? I'll look into Lyle's short against the box suggestion.

BTW, where are Soros, Mad Monk, Q3 and all the other longs? Depressed, I think...or hangin over at IMMM thread.
